Basics of share investing in NZ

The Financial Markets Authority has a fairly basic Help me Invest section if you have not invested before and want to learn the difference between shares, managed funds and fixed interest investments.

The New Zealand Exchange had a Virtual Trading platform for learning how to trade shares, options and derivatives. This platform may be on its site somewhere but we can no longer find it. They do provide a brief overview of investing here and via MyNZX Tools you can create portfolios and watchlists and get updates on market and company developments.
